Tanzanian singer Ruth Mkemwa was born on September 21, 1994. She debuted on the RnB music scene in 2011 with One Day, a lead track from her first album "Smile". In March 2013, Ruth will release her second track, Smile, which is a tune that will peaked at No. 1 on the Radio Station charts. In 2011, she was signed to Carly Grey Records/YLKJ Under her producer Daxo Chali,
"Think different to make difference."
– Ruth Mkemwa
After graduating from Saint Antony Secondary School, Ruth began
performing at youth events and continue performing at Winner Chapel
International Church as where she grew up singing in the nearby Dar Es
Salaam. Ruth's musical inspirations include RnB singer Beyonce.
Ruth formally debuted on the music scene in 2011 with trackOne Day, .In February 2013, Daxo Chali wrote & produced her second song, Smile from her first album "Smile"..
Smile also includes song, "Jua Likizama, Home, Niite Rafiki, Trouble, Happy Day, Tomorrow, Nimejifunza, Rise Up, & Tafakari " According to Ruth, her musical style is RnB, folk-pop; she has called herself the "flower child of pop," according to her site.
In March 2013, Ruth was signed to Young Little Kidz Junior(YLKJ) record label Carly Grey Records, which was founded by Daxo Chali in 2010, and is currently run in part by producer Daxo Chali himself.
On the first single off his upcoming "Smile"
album, Daxo Chali steps away from the party and enters Love e Dove e
World . Daxo Chali digs deep on "4 Ever," battling belonging someone and
exploring the emotional lows of love gone awry with lyrics like, "Why
is everybody around had a break up? But me & you we're still
together!." The Upcoming R&B-pop crooner "Ruth"doesn't flex his
vocal muscles on the chorus and bridge, instead choosing to ride the
pulsing beat from Daxo Chali. But while Ruth' vocal hook lacks the
emotional impact of the lyrics, Daxo Chali's production maintains the
heaviness of the subject matter. Instead of relying on massive cinematic
synths, the producer create a fleeting atmosphere that evokes the
song's theme of fickle love. "4 Ever" is no "Dezo Dezo," but the single
will find a nice spot on late-night playlists, when everyone else has
gone home. Daxo Chali (ChaliDaxo) on Twitter www.facebook.com...
